Placebo!

Placebo or a placebo effect is a phenomenon in which the patient gets cured by a medicine which is fake (read: ineffective) or a surgery which wasnt really done.
for e.g: a person had high fever, the doc gives him some pills which have no curing properties in them nd yet the patient gets cured.

Such cases happen a lot, this has also been scientifically tested. It does actually work. The key is make the patient believe something would cure him nd this impacts his body which begins 2 behave in the same way as it would if some actual drug has been given.

This can explain how people r generally effectively cured by doctors who seems kind, pleasent, impart a positive feel.

This might also explain the healing properties of some religious things.

In case of illness although the regulation of the body systems is not voluntary, it is linked to what a person feels and believes.
